We’re pleased today to be able to show you the Noctilcuent EP artwork!!! Aint it pretty!! Designed by our good friend Jimmy Ed.

And finally – Noctilucent EP – It’s official!!!!

Well Ladies and Gents, today, on the 1st of May, we are very proud to announce that which we’ve ALL been waiting for.

“Noctilucent EP” will officially be available for purchase, both online and CD, from the 11th June.

It’s been a long wait – but we’d rather make sure the dates fed through to your good selves are offical ones – we wouldn’t want you not trusting us would we? :)

Along with the EP release will be the single and corresponding music video “Every Word I Sing (Is A Lie)”, which will also be previewed on BlankTV in the coming month, for your viewing pleasure.

As always, we will keep you up to date on purchasing links etc. and events regarding the release as they happen – not to mention gig dates for the promotion of the EP all to come.

Watch this space – we can officially begin the countdown!!!!

More BBC coverage? Yes, please!!!

If you missed their first venture into the world of BBC Radio late last year, don’t “fret” (we do like puns). Tonight you have a chance to redeem yourselves!!!

The Portlands are included in tonight’s show on BBC Introducing on Radio Manchester including an interview with the band! It’s on now!!

Another storming review? It hasn’t been released yet!!!!

We’ve already had some pretty prolific early reviews of the upcoming EP from the likes of SQ Magazine and Tim Shaw of Rock FM, but please take your time to have a browse through this latest little piece – much love to Chris Skoyles of The LINC for this one….

“…It’s that confidence that the band carry with them throughout the four tracks up for our enjoyment here, a confidence defined by a self-assured attitude that comes from being a band comfortable in working together to create some very well-crafted, instantly enjoyable music.

What it isn’t, is confidence taken to the ugliest extremes of arrogance, cockiness or egotism, even though if any band did deserve to have something of a chip upon their collective shoulder, it’s probably The Portlands…”

Trans-Pennine musical relations flourish….

Many thanks to Kartica for hosting us in Sheffield last night – excellent gig, excellent afterparty, and all-round great guys.

Thanks to all who turned out – including the obvious to our crew and and The Portlands Dolls – they are gawgeous arent they??!!

Keep posted for more dates being announced for the summer over the next few weeks – and of course the return journey of Kartica to our native Manchester
